Opening a company in a foreign jurisdiction involves a lot of paperwork — and most of it needs to be translated to or from the local language. Here is the typical document checklist for foreign founders.

Founder identity documents

  • Passport (apostilled in country of issue, then translated)
  • Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement, less than 3 months old)
  • CV / professional background

Corporate documents (for foreign-parent setups)

  • Certificate of incorporation of the parent company
  • Memorandum and articles of association
  • Board resolution authorising the foreign setup
  • Power of attorney for the local representative

Translation requirements

All documents must be translated by a legal translator licensed in the destination jurisdiction. Sworn translations from your home country are generally not sufficient — the translation has to be done locally by a licensed firm.

We have collaborated with consular partners since 2022 and handle company setup translation packages routinely. Average turnaround is 2-3 working days for a full company file.
